Mother’s Bakehouse 

We wrote about Mother’s Bakehouse when local resident Kate Modeland first lauched her business. Recently Kate reached out to Urban Village LDN to tell us about her plans to make Mother’s Bakehouse a real-life bakery and cafe after phenomonal support and positivity from the community and queues on Saturday at her market spot on the North End Road. “When I started Mother’s Bakehouse just over a year ago, I never imagined I’d be in this position, thinking about opening a physical bakery, quite this soon. But the love, support and positivity has been incredible. So many people have helped and encouraged me - perhaps even unknowingly - but every smile, every purchase, every “I love your baguette” has powered me on. So I’m planning to take all those beautiful vibes and build a bakery around them. A bakery with freshly-baked bread, beautiful coffee and the best poached eggs on toast in Fulham”.

Kate will then send the investor pack which covers everything from plans to launch and beyond, detailed information on the shares and next steps. Kate’s looking to raise 200k by offering 200 shares at £1,000 each. “I'd love as many people to get involved as possible so they feel like its a little bit theirs - the community has been such a massive part of keeping me going.  Each £1,000 buys you a share of the business and a loyalty discount in store, plus invites to any events and option to use the store for personal events”.

Jesse’s House registrations open

You may remember we wrote about Jesse’s House and Parsons House Nursery coming to Fulham in 2024. Located on 8 - 10 Heathman’s Road this will be the second private members family club site from the Little Houses Group. In July we said we’d keep you posted so here we are, letting you know that the Jesse’s House team have now officially launched registrations for their Parsons Green Nursery and Jesse’s House membership.

They are offering anyone who registers and buys membership before the doors open in Spring 2024 - 50% off their joining fee and will also transfer the full amount into club credit.
