The House Reset
Fulham mums Lisa Abram and Millie Buckle have launched a new home organising service to help residents declutter and reclam their space. Between them they have organised and implemented house moves here in London and abroad and have interior design and full house renovation experience. After meeting at their children’s primary school, St John’s Walham Green, and following careers in Public Relations and Events, Lisa and Mille decided to join forces and set up a service to help others reset their homes.
The House Reset was founded to help individuals and families simplify their lives by creating orderly, functional and stress free living environments. Perhaps you’re downsizing, feeling overwhelmed with “stuff”, belongings which are preventing you from enjoying your home or maybe you need help to declutter and stage your property before putting it on the market?
Urban Village LDN caught up with Lisa and Millie to found out more. Millie told us “As busy mums ourselves, we know how quickly life—and clutter—can accumulate. We started this business to help other families create calm, functional spaces that support their daily routines.” Lisa adds “We believe that an organized home can make a world of difference to your mindset and wellbeing and our goal is to make organisation feel achievable, no matter how overwhelmed you feel—and to do it with warmth, understanding, and zero judgment.”
The House Reset offer a free consultation to discuss your brief and budget. Projects start at a minimum of 3 hours (excluding travel time) with 1-2 organisers, depending on what’s required, and there are additional fees if, for example, there is a need for shopping and the delivery of products or the removal/disposal of items needs to be organised. Bishops Park Tree trail
Urban Village LDN was invited to the launch of the Bishops Park Tree trail last month. We met Simon Edwards from Ticl Media who talked us through the app, free to download, and showed us how it works. It was great to see the app in action providing the user with information in a drop down list, starting with the tree nearest to you. It's not only informative but good fun with an inbuilt compass, to help children and adults alike, locate and find out about the trees of Bishop's Park.
Urban Village LDN caught up with Friends of Bishops Park Chair Sarah Jane Johnston to find out more. “Thanks to the park’s proximity to Fulham Palace we have some interesting trees in Bishop’s Park as Bishop Compton (Bishop 1675 -1713) was a famous collector of plants. We are therefore thrilled that thanks to the generous support of Fulham Social Hub the trees in Bishop’s Park can easily be identified on the Ticl app. The app shows the trees in a list - the nearest ones to you appear first. Or you can follow a tree trail around the park which is a novel way to entertain the family and get them invested in their surroundings”.
After showing us the app we talked to Simon, a Putney resident, about other famous trees in our neck of the woods (pun intended). Did you know there are only four Fulham oaks in the UK, a hybrid called Quercus x hispanica “Fulhamensis”. This oak originated from an SW6 nursery in 1760 and one of them can thankfully still be found in Fulham, in Hurlingham Park. Heading over Putney Bridge there’s a famous tree in Barnes known as “Barney” located near the WWT London Wetland Centre at Barn Elms. Barney is believed to have been planted in 1685, considered to be the oldest and largest London plane tree in London and possibly in the UK.
If you’re not an app fan you can sign up to find out about the trees of Bishop’s Park, other Fulham locations and beyond on your laptop. Find out more on the link below!

Fulham Pier
Fulham Pier officially opened at the end of last month with a jam packed weekend of entertainment. If you haven’t checked out what’s on offer there and to resolve some confusion about what the Pier is all about… here goes. In essence Fulham Pier is the riverside walkway space and inside spaces along the rear of Fulham FC stadium. We know we’re not the only ones thrilled that this part of Fulham’s waterfront has been opened up to the public for the first time in decades. It was quite a moment for us when we walked through it for the first time last year and now there’s a lot more to be enjoyed here.
Inside Fulham Pier you’ll find Riverside Market a selection of various concessions offering all sorts of food including pizza, tacos, coffee, ice cream, desserts, burgers and cocktails. We’ve missed Market Halls since they closed in the old station at Fulham Broadway so we’re looking forward to walking down here to check it out properly. If you’re looking for a more refined offering Brasserie Constance will open soon serving seasonal modern British dishes from Michelin-star chef Adam Byatt which you can savour whilst taking in the fantastic river views. Lighthouse Social, a private members club, has already opened and Fulham Pier Hotel, with thirteen rooms including a penthouse, is incoming as is a Wellbeing club and spa in 2026. This will have a 15-meter long heated rooftop infinity pool which will open year-round. Imagine sitting on one of those loungers enjoying breath-taking views of the River Thames.
There are lots of events taking place at Fulham Pier from live DJ’s every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, a Kids table with activities every Sunday (12 - 4pm), Wimbledon screenings start this week and in the Orange Box (a state-of-the-art live events venue) you’ll find everything from Disco Yoga to cabaret. AND no you don’t have to be a Fulham FC supporter or match day attendee to enjoy what’s on offer! Although please note on home match days Fulham Pier will be closed, this will be listed on their website.
Marks & Spencer
You know we’re all about supporting independent and local but, to use some down with the kids lingo, we’re GASSED that Marks & Spencer is coming to Fulham Broadway! We remember tales from older Fulhamites about back in the day when M&S used to be the jewel in the crown on North End Road and we also loved it when we could pop into Fulham Island to pick up a Percy Pig haul. We could never understand why M&S left SW6 but we’re happy they’re back and we hope this branch will be just as swanky as their food hall in Clapham … later Whole Pay Check!
